This week, the IRIS technology team is visiting Greece in order to install additional equipment at the portable robotic Material Recovery Facility (prMRF). The installation includes the HSI (hyperspectral imaging) camera, the light components and also, the control cabinet which is responsible for processing the huge amounts of data generated by the HSI camera.
Robenso is also there to support installation, ensure that everything goes according to the plan and directly resolve any conflicts that may appear.
Initial experiments have been conducted, and we are now prepared to optimize HSI, aiming to enhance its performance on material identification.
📆Looking ahead, upcoming tasks involve the integration of HSI categorization with the results of RGB images-based object identification.
